SaaS Sales Secret
Jan 23, 2025
Because I'm about to reveal the biggest secret to selling SaaS easier.
I understand that this is a bold claim.
So hold me accountable at the end of this post and let's start.
The biggest secret to selling more SaaS derives from the biggest secret to selling anything.
And that general sales secret goes as follows:
Sell more by helping people with what they already need.
Turned around, that means, don't try to change what people SHOULD need or try to convince them to "need" something.
Just find people who direly need something and then give it to them.
In terms of selling SaaS easily and in volume, this means:
Find people who direly need what your SaaS does for them, and you will sell it like fresh cold ice cream on a hot summer's day.
Now, if you already have a SaaS, allow me to ask:
Did you identify a dire need of a group of people and then started to solve that exact need with your SaaS?
Or did you go the other way around by assuming a need, building the SaaS and now looking for people who could use it and pay for it?
While both paths CAN lead to roaring sales, one or both is more likely to work out.
But even if you DID build first and try to find a dire need second, you're not entirely lost.
You can still find people in more or less dire need for what you offer, and have these as customers.
The path to getting there is by trying, listening, and adapting.
The core of my message here is:
If you don't solve a problem that's felt by a client, you don't sell.
