How to Improve Your Landing Page Dramatically by Minding One Single Thing

Beware of focusing on the wrong things when crafting your landing page. Because otherwise, most of your blood, sweat and tears could be in vain.

Do you know this situation in a meeting, when people start discussing, and everybody just picks up what the other one said and rambles on from there? Just to be followed by the next person, without leading anywhere?

That's a typical case of having lost the goal.

And it's an utter waste of everybody's time.

The same can happen when building your landing page. Either on your own or in discussion with a team. You start patching on one part after the other:

Clever copywriting...

Beautiful benefits...

Glorious graphics...

Triumphant testimonials...

Annoying Alliterations

And yes, that's all good and has its place (except for annoying alliterations).

But if you miss one single thing, it's all in vain.

What single thing?

A compelling offer and a strong CTA.

Well... that's two things.

But they belong together, so the heck.

The important point is:

Focus on the offer and CTA, FIRST!

That means, before even starting with placing your first pixel on your landing page, think

"What single compelling irresistible offer will I make the user?"

And only after that, think

"How will I best possibly call the user to action on this offer?"

To drive this point short and sweet, please compare the following alternative Landing Pages:

Hand on heart, which version will carry more leads to your door?

YES! The one that offers something compelling and shows exactly how to take the next step to get it.

Mind that to be able to offer something compelling, again you need to know your #audience and their #problem.

But that's a topic for another day.

The topic of this day is that whenever you think "Landing Page", the next two things I suggest thinking are

1. Single irresistible offer

2. Strong CTA

OF COURSE, all the other things matter as well.

The copywriting, benefits, graphics, testimonials.

But like anywhere in life, it's good to have the priorities set in the correct order.

I hope that I coul help you to get clarity on that tiny part of life at least, today.

Let me know what you think.

And have a great #day!
