Dream 100 Book by Dana Derricks
Feb 13, 2024
I've paid a hefty $125 to get a hold onto Dana Derrick's book Dream 100.
For all of you who have not gotten hold of it, I will share an in-depth summary, here.
To start off, the biggest question of them all: Do I think the read was worth the big bucks?
Phew, I'm still torn on this.
Often, a single insight from a book can be worth A LOT.
But from the top of my head, I cannot come up with that epiphany when it comes to Dana's book.
Let's write down the summary and I will come back to answering if it was worth the money.
What's the book about?
Well, if you came so far down the rabbit hole to look for Dana Derrick's book, you for sure already know about the Dream 100 approach.
Dana Derricks has picked up on this and wrote a whole book about it.
How good was it over all?
My primary urge to get the book was, to learn a very detailed, step by step, take me by the hand walkthrough of the approach.
Having that, I just wanted to follow the steps whenever I dreamed of using the Dream 100 approach to my own benefits.
Unfortunately, the book DID NOT deliver on that expectation.
While it dives deeper into the approach, it lacks a workbook-like step by step rundown that leaves not question to be asked.
So coming from this expectation, I cannot pull out the five-star rating without hesitation.
Personally, I was not so happy with Dana's "I'm the greatest copywriter of them all" attitude that shone through.
Gary Halbert has earned his right to be that cocky. But the cockiness needs to be earned first; otherwise it comes off a little off-putting.
So, not delivering on my core expectation, and not really being written in a moderate style that I would appreciate, what's left?
Well, any book can be of tremendous value, if it makes me learn only one important takeaway.
My definition for such an important takeaway is, that a) I didn't know it before, and b) it's highly useful to help me get, whatever I want.
So, let's see what takeaways I found?
